ChangeLens Privacy Policy

Scope

This privacy policy applies specifically to ChangeLens for Jira, a Forge app published by MintedTools. It is separate from the general MintedTools Automation website privacy policy.

What ChangeLens accesses

ChangeLens reads Jira work-item information needed to show description history and text differences. This can include the current description, historical description changes, work-item identifiers and titles, and changelog details such as the user who made a change and the time of the change.

How ChangeLens processes data

ChangeLens uses Atlassian Forge and Jira APIs to retrieve the information needed for the feature you open. The app compares description revisions and renders the result inside Jira.

No MintedTools external database

ChangeLens does not send Jira issue content or changelog content to a MintedTools-operated external server or database. MintedTools does not maintain a separate customer-content database for ChangeLens.

No persistent storage by ChangeLens

ChangeLens does not persist Jira descriptions, changelog entries, user identifiers, or comparison results in MintedTools-controlled storage. Data is retrieved as needed to provide the in-Jira comparison experience.

Permissions

ChangeLens requests Jira read access that is necessary to retrieve work-item and changelog information used by the app. The app does not request permission to edit Jira work items, send messages, or access unrelated external systems.

Analytics, advertising, and sale of data

ChangeLens does not use advertising trackers and MintedTools does not sell ChangeLens user data. The app does not transmit Jira content to third-party advertising or data-broker services.

Atlassian services

ChangeLens runs on Atlassian's Forge platform and uses Atlassian APIs. Atlassian may process information as part of operating Jira, Forge, the Atlassian Marketplace, licensing, security, and platform infrastructure under Atlassian's own terms and privacy practices.

Security

ChangeLens is designed to minimize data handling by keeping the app within Atlassian's platform and avoiding a separate MintedTools data store for Jira content. No system can guarantee absolute security, and the security of Jira and Forge also depends on Atlassian's platform and the customer's own account and access controls.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if ChangeLens functionality, permissions, data handling, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
