Ask when the experience is still fresh
The easiest review request is usually the one sent soon after a customer is clearly satisfied and the job is complete. Waiting weeks makes the request easier to forget for both the business and the customer.
Make the request easy
Use a direct link to the review destination when possible. Keep the message short, thank the customer, and explain that the review helps the business. Do not make them hunt for where to leave it.
Do not only ask when someone remembers
If reviews matter, the request should be part of the completed-job process. A consistent workflow removes the need for the owner or technician to remember every time.
Do not pressure customers
A review request should be optional and honest. Avoid scripting the customer’s opinion or implying they owe you a positive review.
Connect reviews to the rest of the customer journey
A completed job can trigger more than one useful next step: a thank-you, a review request, and later, when appropriate, a reminder or past-customer message for another service.
